Executive Coaching

I nearly died in a wadi.

Yes, that is me inside my Suzuki Jimney, waving my arm, summoning help along the main road from Muscat to Sohar. That November 2019, I would have drowned in that suddenly forming wadi over Sultan Qaboos Street after hours of heavy rain if not for the five, very brave, courageous men—all passersby—who risked their own lives walking through water up to their necks to pull me out of my jeep that was slowly submerging deeper into the fast-moving current. They literally lifted me up and out from the murky waters of a suddenly forming, rapid wadi, and carried me safely to higher ground. Over time, after much processing… new insights, self-discovery, and much gratitude, I gained a new perspective on many, many things.

It was—to say the least—transformative.

And these insights led to a deeper appreciation and gratitude for my life, and a newer realisation and clarity of how I wanted to live “the rest of my life” having came so close to death.

What do I want my legacy to be?

How do I want to “show up” in the world?

My story could be a metaphor for why you would seek coaching. (Transformation without the experience of such a dramatic incident!)

For we are often seek a coach (a guide) when an obstacle is in our way or a new opportunity feels overwhelming and we (are) feel trapped. Blind-sighted. Needing a fresh perspective, but not sure where to go or how to do it? Navigating the obscure —and at times, turbulent waters—to move past Point A to get to Point B, seeking to be transformed in the process.

Or we want to gain clarity on our purpose after working tirelessly as a leader for decades, asking: “What do I want to be remembered for?” “What’s my legacy?”

As your executive coach, I serve as your metaphorical guide, in your corner, supporting and championing you to step up and into your highest potential, while holding you accountable for doing what you commit to do, so you’re aligned with your true North Star.

I “pull” you through your own uncertain and ambiguous roadblocks and “guide” you—using powerful, challenging questions and mind-body exercises to break through these often self-imposed limits of belief that stand in your way of getting across the fast-moving currents of life as a leader… so that you become that 'great leader' you were meant to be. To leave that lasting legacy for future generations.

I challenge you to bring your best self forth so “who you are” aligns with “how you lead”.

And as a team coach and facilitator of organisation development, I use a systems-based approach to transforming that knowledge from the individual, to your team, up through “the system”—the organisation, as the catalyst for change that true great leaders can be.

“Leaders are better able to create the strong web of relationship required to tap into collective wisdom and skillfully navigate conflict, complexity and change. In a world that is becoming increasingly more complex and fast-changing, this is powerful.” - Systems Inspired Leadership by Frank Uit de Weerd and Marita Fridjhon
